Our compact cinema-camera rig for hire includes a Sony FX30 as the main body of the camera. It has an APS-C sensor, and can record footage up to 4K 120fps in S-Log3 (perfect for colour-grading and applying LUTs). This camera is paired with a cinema-quality Sony FE 2.8 16-35 G-Master lens, which is a fast-aperture wide-angle zoom lens, ideal for narrative projects, run-and-gun shooting, documentaries and commercial work. We provide two filters for you to use on the lens, a Hoya 82mm Variable Density II Filter and a Hoya 82mm UX II Filter for sun and damage protection.

The camera is rigged with a Small-Rig Cage, Top Handle (Lite) and Mini Side Handle. The rig has 7 cold-shoe mounts, an Arca-Swiss quick release plate for mounting on tripods and gimbals, and several mounting points for other accessories.

Additionally provided:
- An Atomos Shinobi II external monitor to be mounted atop the top handle with a Swivel & Tilt Cold-Shoe Mount. The 5" display has a resolution of 1920x1080p and is HDR-compatible. The screen has touch-to-focus and camera control functionality, as well as false colour, zebras, waveforms and histograms features for monitoring exposure and composition.

- 1x HDMI Cable, 1x Microphone 3.5mm Cable, 1x USB-C Camera Control Cable, 1x Power Supply and Cable for Sony FX30

- 1x Sony NP-FZ100 Rechargeable Battery (in-camera) and 1x SmallRig Rechargeable USB-C NP-F970. These will power the rig on a single charge for about 4 hours, 3 hours of continuous shooting.

Tenba Fulton V2 16L Camera Backpack

- 128GB CFExpress memory card (in-camera)

The optional Audio Kit includes:

- A RODE Videomic NTG shotgun microphone which connects through the FX30's audio jack and is mounted via Cold-Shoe onto the camera's cage or onto the boom mic. Comes with shock-mount, windshield, 30cm audio cable and a 3.5m RODE VC-1 audio cable.

- A RODE Micro Boompole which can mount the Videomic NTG for clearer directional audio and a 2.1m reach necessary for narrative filmmaking and interviews.

- The RODE Wireless PRO Kit which includes 2 wireless transmitters and 1 wireless receiver which can be connected to the camera via its audio jack, or record 32-bit float audio itself. It includes 2 RODE Lavalier II's which can be connected to the transmitters. Includes a charging case and wind protection accessories.

NOTES: 1) When using the Audio Kit, the exact combination of 2x Laveliers and the shotgun microphone has to be recorded in two seperate recordings (one onboard the RODE Receiver, and the other on the camera itself). 2) The boom pole cannot be operated concurrently with the camera-rig and requires a seperate person to operate, and can be the client, crew or talent.

Terms and Conditions

Booking and Verification:

1. All first-time hirers must provide a valid photo ID (e.g. Driver's License, Passport, etc.), and be prepared to bring a secondary form of ID which has the hirer's name on it such as a Medicare card, debit card, Digital ID. etc.
2. A booking is only 'Confirmed' when the hire fee and bond are paid in full.
3. Yeah, Look Video reserves the right to refuse or cancel a rental at any time, including at the point of handover, if the hirer is deemed unable to safely and responsibly operate the equipment or if their production poses an unreasonable risk to equipment or conflict with our safety and ethical standards.

Security Bond:

4. A refundable security bond of $250 AUD is required for all equipment-only bookings. The bond will be returned to your bank account via PayID within 24 hours of the equipment's return, provided the gear is in the same condition it was in when it was collected. This bond covers minor damage, missing small parts or professional cleaning. It is not a cap on liability.

5. Yeah, Look Video reserves the right to deduct the cost of small missing parts (lens caps, cables and screws) or cleaning fees from the bond.

Liability and Insurance:

6. The hirer is liable for all gear from pickup to return on equipment-only hires.

7. For any damage or loss valued at less than $1000 AUD, the hirer is liable for the full cost of repair or "new-for-old" replacement.

8. For any damage exceeding $1,000 (e.g. breaking the lens), Yeah, Look Video may elect to claim through insurance. In this event, the Hirer is strictly liable to pay the $1,000 insurance excess immediately.

9. If damage is caused by "Gross Negligence" (e.g., leaving gear in an unlocked car) and insurance denies the claim, the Hirer remains liable for the full replacement value of the kit.

10. Gear and Operator Hires: For operator-assisted bonds, no security bond is required. However the hirer remains liable for the full replacement cost of gear if damage occurs due to talent/hirer negligence (e.g. damage to Lavalier microphones, transmitters or cables).

Pick-up/Drop-off

11. Standard pick-up is from 10:00am on the first day, and return must be done by 9:30am on the morning following the final rental day. Agreements can be reached upon enquiry for early pick-ups and late returns at Yeah, Look Video's discretion.

12. Equipment returned after 9:30 am without prior agreement will incur a late fee of $30 per hour. Returns more than 4 hours late will be charged as a full additional day.

13. Equipment must be at least at 80% charge when returned to Yeah, Look. This includes both the NP-FZ100 battery included in the camera (charge-able via the camera's USB-C port) and the SmallRig NP-F970 monitor-mounted battery. This is to ensure products are ready for use by following customers.

Cancellations

14. Cancellation of hire of gear or operator services with more than 48 hours notice will receive a full refund. With less than 48 hours notice, the hirer will receive a 50% refund.

Equipment Condition:

15. Both parties will inspect gear on pick-up and return, and will sign off on the quality assurance of all hired items at both pick-up and return.

16. Yeah, Look Video formats all memory cards within 24 hours of return. Yeah, Look Video is not responsible for any data loss or footage left on cards after the hire period.

Indie/Student Production Discount:

17. Once valid student ID or details of production consistent with a student / indie project are confirmed with Yeah, Look Video, 20% of the price of gear and operator hire will be deducted from the quote (This applies only to hires by the day).

18. Yeah, Look Video has a right of refusal of this discount if valid student ID (also includes valid student email address, or enrolment summary) or relevant details (a call sheet, social media page or look book for an indie production) cannot be confirmed.

Wet Hires / Operator Hires

19. A 3 hour minimum payment is required to book an operator, but they can be dismissed at any time before then. Overtime will be paid at the rate of $80/hr for all operator hires.

20. Travel fees will be imposed when outside a radius of 7km of Camperdown, including Eastern Suburbs beaches, the Northern Beaches and Greater Western Sydney. The value of these will be quoted when the enquiry is submitted and is at the discretion of the operator.

NOTE: We recommend having some form of personal insurance to cover damage, loss or theft for dry hires on productions with long shoot schedules, involve rigging the camera on moving vehicles, or in other hazardous scenarios. For most shooting scenarios (most student films, corporate media and commerical shoots), there is very little risk.
